The first thing we settle at the survey is how each Wickes delivery gets from the vehicle into the room. On the steeper streets that often means a drop at the top or bottom of the row and a proper carry, and where there is a rear lane we walk it rather than assuming, because a good number of the Pontypridd back lanes are unsurfaced, gated, shared or too narrow for anything wider than a wheelbarrow. We check the drawing against the real walls and flag anything that will not fit before the order is confirmed. Reused appliances get measured at the same visit, because an older washing machine or fridge freezer will not always sit in a modern housing. Laminate worktops are cut and joined on site, stone is templated after the bases are in, removal and responsible disposal of the old kitchen is included, and any boiler in the room is either boxed in or housed within a wall unit unless you want it moved, which is a separate Gas Safe job we can arrange. Most fits run five to ten working days and you get a fixed written price after the survey.
